So this one is for all of my photographer friends out there! I tend to get asked a lot about my gear, because well, I shoot with a little bit different equipment than most photographers. I will say too, I am such a nerd when it comes to camera equipment and knowing the specs on different things. I have to thank my days at Best Buy for that!

If the photo didn’t give it away already, I am a Sony photographer. Now I know there are a lot of people out there who probably think I jumped on this trend when everyone else did about a year or so ago. Well, I’ve been shooting Sony cameras since 2015, and I haven’t looked back! Why did I make the jump? If we have met in person at all, you know I’m small (5’2” to be exact) and my hands reflect that. I always joke that I have little kid hands, so holding a Nikon D750 or Canon 5D IV would be impossible, and honestly, that’s pretty true for me. When I decided to invest in my hobby (at the time) I wanted something comfortable, so I went with Sony. Here is the list of the gear that I use!

You will pretty much always find me with my 55mm on one of my cameras. It is my go-to lens, and if I could only have one lens in my kit, it would be that one. I will say, the 90mm Macro lens is a close second though and is usually on my second camera body. Occasionally, I am able to borrow a 70-200 F/4 Sony G lens, which is great for a wedding ceremony to capture emotions without having to be close.
