Wesley and Lauren's Seattle, Washington Engagement Session
In January 2019, Lauren and Wesley booked me for their Seattle wedding. Initially, we thought it wouldn’t work out for me to come to Seattle for their engagement session. We talked about it again in April and decided, you know what, this would be absolutely perfect. We found a weekend in June that worked for all of us, and well, come June, I was flying to Seattle.
In the time between booking the session and me arriving in Seattle, Lauren and I spent countless hours researching beautiful locations in and around Seattle. I was there for 4 days, and we definitely made the best of it! Of course, we didn’t do sessions the whole time. We explored the city and they showed me their favorite places in Seattle and of course, some of the tourist locations.
When they picked me up from the airport, we headed out to Rattlesnake Ledge. This location didn’t go quite as planned. We chose to go Rattlesnake Ledge on Friday because it is a popular location, and we didn’t want too many people in the photos. When we arrived, it started sprinkling. Okay, no big deal. We still went out for the hike up to the location. Well….. We read the map wrong and never made it to the look out we had hoped for. Instead, we got drenched from rain, and decided to turn around and run down because it started hailing. So that location failed, but we had back ups and were always on the look out for more.
Later in the day, after we had cleaned ourselves up from the pouring rain, we headed to Gas Works Park. This park is the former home to Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant. It is such a unique park with some beautiful locations. It was raining still, but we made the best of it!
The next day was jam packed with locations for photos! We started with University of Washington’s campus and their beautiful library, followed by wandering around other parts of the campus, and heading to their beautiful gardens.
Seattle is such a beautiful and unique city, and I am so glad Lauren and Wesley showed me around! Check out some of my favorite images from their session.
