A Letter to 2020 Brides
Dear 2020 Brides,
Right now, we are all facing so much uncertainty. COVID-19 seemingly came out of nowhere and turned everyone’s world upside down. To the average person, we are facing business closures, social distancing, and searching countless numbers of stores just to find toilet paper. But you aren’t the average person, you are a bride. A bride whose wedding is coming up quickly.
Most likely, you have been planning this wedding a year. Probably longer. We all know that you have been dreaming of this day your whole life. Let’s be honest, every little girl has. But this unknown virus has come in and wreaked havoc on your special day. Not only that, but it has left you with so much uncertainty. Everyone always says that weddings are full of obstacles, but no one ever planned for this. No one expected that social gatherings would be limited to 10 people, and that traveling would become difficult for a reason other than weather.
As a vendor and a recent bride myself, my heart hurts for you. The thing is, I know we will all get through this. I know it hurts, and it seems like things are falling apart, but I promise, this will make you stronger. You will fight through this. I know it doesn’t seem like it now, but one day you will look back on this whole thing and think about how crazy it was, but not many people will share your crazy story. Hold on a second though….
You are getting married!!! Can we take a second to bask in that? There are 7.53 billion people in the world, and you found your soulmate. Guys, that is incredible. You found the one person on this earth that makes you feel so special and knows you like no one else. It is such a beautiful thing, no matter what obstacles you have to face in order to get your wedding day.
No matter what this uncertainty brings, know that I am here for you. Whether you have questions or just need someone to vent to. If you have to change your wedding date, I will help you in any way possible, even if that means calling venues for you. To my 2020 couples, I am your biggest supporter and I want you to know that I will be here for you.
Love,
Morgan
