Mike and Courtney’s 2021 Wedding Celebration at The Bell Tower

The Bell Tower Wedding Venue Nashville, Tennessee

When the Covid-19 struck the world last year, you may have heard many wedding stories that caused the couple some frustration. With the new norm of celebrating the event, there were several obstacles to overcome. Nevertheless, some couples pushed through their weddings, even if it was just the two of them and the officiant: some tried virtual weddings and others decided to postpone their weddings. Elopement and small weddings became popular, making our engaged couple’s marriage feel more intimate.

In 2021, as everything slowly turned back to normal, some couples decided to celebrate their wedding for the second time around, with a bigger crowd of attendees. So today is when the whole family and friends will be able to attend, enjoy, and share the special moments with the couple. Just like our couple for today’s blog: Mike and Courtney!

A Wedding Celebration

August 15, 2021, Mike and Courtney’s second celebration of their marriage takes place. They legally got married last year in a small celebration at The Bridge Building with just their immediate families and closest friends due to the pandemic. However, the couple decided to have their second wedding celebration to celebrate their first year of marriage. The big event happened at The Bell Tower in downtown Nashville. Together with their friends and family from all over the country.

The first look and getting ready were all fantastic! First, Courtney wore the dress she had planned to wear for last year’s wedding, giving her and Mike the first look in a new gown. Courtney looked amazing in her simple backless wedding gown. Next, we shot portraits at the stairs, which provide a warm and cozy background. We then photograph the bridal party portraits and family formals on the ceremony stage and outside the Bell Tower. We then proceeded to the getting-ready suites. Since everyone had seen each other, we unlocked all the doors and hung out until the ceremony began.

Because they were already married, they held a wonderful ceremony in which they went down the aisle together. And, during the reception, the couple performed a lovely first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance.  Afterward,  families offered meaningful speeches about their love and them as individuals.

Due to the pandemic, most of the couple’s guests hadn’t seen each other in a year, so in cocktail hour, everyone had a great time chatting and laughing with each other. And then, the DJ played hits from the 1990s and early 2000s, which drew a crowd. They also opened the Whiskey Room, which sounded like an excellent tasting room for everyone.

Mike and Courtney’s second wedding is a spectacular and unforgettable event! Of course, it is worthwhile to re-celebrate their wedding; in fact, the pandemic should not prevent the couple from celebrating their first wedding. However, having a second wedding gives the most exciting and significant occasion of their marriage. To share their celebrations with complete families and friends is one of the factors that makes a wedding unique and most memorable.

A Quick Overview of The Bell Tower

The Bell Tower is a historic church built in 1874 and converted into a modern and expansive event space. The renovation preserved much of the building’s history and identity. The ancient beams and stonework and the original sub-flooring, made up of salvaged wood from homes destroyed during the war, have been preserved.

Brett James, a singer-songwriter, bought the property at the end of 2012. After considering many plans and choices for the location, he worked with Infinity Hospitality Group to develop an event and performance facility. Infinity Hospitality is an in-house event planning and design firm. The Infinity event team will work with you to set the stage for your wedding, developing a personalized inspiration board and space planning based on your idea. And so, in November of 2014, launched the newly renamed Bell Tower.

The facilities are one of the most desirable factors that many couples celebrate their wedding in this place, with its natural light, upper-level mezzanine, and exposed beams. In addition, the Bell Tower is one of the largest free-standing event places in Nashville. The site can accommodate 400 to 700 people. Today, The Bell Tower is one of Nashville’s most popular wedding venues.
