What Couples Should Know About Spring Engagement Sessions

In the spring, the weather warms up, trees sprout full green leaves, plants bloom, and the amount of daylight during the day increases. Spring is also a time for celebrations, with rites and festivals commemorating the season's significance in food production. As everyone says, spring is the season of new beginnings. The earth appears to come to life again as new buds bloom, animals awaken, and the universe seems to come alive again. Farmers and gardeners sow their seeds as the weather warms. The period between the spring equinox and the summer solstice is commonly referred to as spring.

Spring is also a favorite season for most couples. This is the best time to have their engagement session, weddings, and elopement. Spring is a lovely season for some couples because it falls between two extreme weather seasons: harsh winter and scorching summer, and provides them with ideal temperatures for cool outdoor adventures while still allowing them to enjoy comfortable evenings curled up in a fluffy blanket.

What couples should know about spring engagement sessions? I'd love to give you some pointers and even recommend a location for your spring engagement session, just keep on following me on Instagram!

Here are the things that you should know in preparation for your Spring engagement session:

Know Where You Want to Do Photos, ask your Photographer

What location should you choose for your engagement photos? When it comes to engagement photos, location is extremely important, especially for the wanderlust couple. Some of our favorite elopement spots could also be perfect for your engagement shoot.

A simple spring engagement session, who doesn't enjoy the lure of summer and warm weather? Mother Nature's beautiful backdrops in the spring perfectly complement the newly engaged couple's affection and genuine love.

Find a place in bloom where you can take advantage of spring, if you don’t know where you want to take photos, ask me!

Choose Lighter Colors

What should you wear for your spring engagement photos? Your engagement outfit can be made up of a variety of ideas and elements. Spring pastels go well with lighter colors and wear a jumpsuit instead of a dress to feel more comfortable moving around.

To create beautiful photos, choose pieces that flow as you move. Showcase your style and don't forget your accessories; incorporate sunglasses and a beautiful hat; aside from helping to create fashion, it can also be functional; if you don't know what to do with your hands, don't bother asking me! I'd be happy to help you in striking a picture-perfect pose.

Clean your Ring

This is important, your engagement ring is the center of attraction for an engagement session. It must be clean! How to clean your engagement ring? It's simple to clean with a store-bought ring cleaner or even a mug filled with warm water and mild dish detergent. Allow it to soak for 5 minutes before using a baby toothbrush to scrub away any loose particles and patting dry with a lint-free towel and that’s it. When he asks for your YES, it's just as beautiful as the first time you saw it!

Keep in mind!  When cleaning or working with harsh chemicals, you should ALWAYS remove your ring. Bleach and other cleaning agents can damage porous colored gemstones like emeralds, dulling the ring's finish.

Mind your Shoes

Clean your shoes If your favorite shoes are dirty, make an effort to clean them.  Wear your most comfortable pair. You know where your engagement photo will be taken, so dress appropriately for the venue. When climbing a mountain, avoid wearing heels. Always keep in mind that the more comfortable you are in your clothing and shoes, the more confident you will feel.

Allow your hands and feet to relax.

Allow your hands and feet to relax before your engagement session. Make time to have your manicure and pedicure, if you have much more time you can also have a hand and foot spa. Your engagement session is a celebration already, it is important to look at your best at your most comfortable. Being photographed by professional photographers will show your images in a high-quality print but not edited one.

Stay Hydrated

Bring two times the amount of water you think you'll need. To stay cool, move at a slower pace and drink plenty of cold water and you should also bring water or electrolyte-fortified sports drinks to keep your body balanced and avoid overheating. Not only is it critical to stay hydrated, but you can also use cold bottles of water to keep yourself from sweating excessively between sessions by holding them against your neck or your body.

Take care of your skin

You've brought the appropriate clothing as well as enough water. Now is the time to choose which items to bring that will help you remain neat, as well as to care about your skin while capturing memories from your engagement session.

  • Of course! Sunscreen is a must.

  • A fan that runs on batteries.

  • Wipes that absorb oil to dab on sweaty faces

  • a handkerchief

  • During any downtime, an umbrella will provide shade.

  • Bring your makeup bag with you in case you need to make a retouch.

Keep an eye on the weather

So you know what you are preparing for. Before the weather gets too hot, schedule your session early in the morning. Getting yourself to monitor the weather will allow you to determine when the best time to photograph the engagement session is.

Also, if you know it'll be windy, opt for a relaxed hairstyle. You won't have to worry about hair flying into your face, resulting in less-than-adorable photos!

Takeaway

Many couples' favorite season is spring because of how the trees and flowers bloom and what plants have the potential to look truly spectacular! Spring is a great time to take engagement photos, and these photos can also be used as save-the-dates and maybe incorporated also in your wedding favors.

Also, to fully take advantage of the spring season why not bring some fun stuff. Spring engagement photos are perfect for props because the weather is usually nicer, allowing for more outdoor shots. Bring any props that will help the session live up to the bride and groom's personalities and style, whether it's musical instruments or a book.
