Every Couple's Biggest Wedding Day Regret: "We Didn't Spend Enough Time Together"

Wedding planning is an overwhelming task; sometimes, we think that we are well-planned and everything is perfect with all our to-do lists or timelines. However, no matter how much time and effort we put into planning, something must go wrong. I understand what you're thinking, but there's nothing you can do. It's entirely natural. For example, difficult relatives will always be difficult; nothing, not even your wedding day, will change that. In addition, we have no control over the weather, or guests will not arrive on time. Although regrets are common when you plan a wedding, and it comes from prioritizing the needs and desires of others also contributes to it.

I have worked with so many couples, and what is the biggest regret I hear? “We didn’t spend enough time together on our wedding day”. Here are ways to spend time together on your wedding day.

Do the First Look

Breaking a tradition may seem challenging, but this famous First Look is worthy. The couple would spend some time alone in an ideal location immediately before the ceremony, a bride wearing her stunning wedding dress and husband dressed in all his finery for a first look. Photographing each other's expressions is well worth it and will help calm both of your anxiety before walking down the aisle in front of all your guests. In addition, this way, you can have more time for photos, and you can have a moment together before guests start arriving. It will also be the ideal moment to reflect on all that has happened and the reasons for celebrating your special day today.

Schedule Golden Hour Photos

One photographer’s favorite is taking portraits because our most precious memory captures the love and dedication between newly married couples. That is why, when it comes to planning their wedding, we do everything we can to ensure that they are aware of all of their alternatives.

The portrait of the pair, especially taken during golden hour, is fantastic. It allows the newlyweds to get away from the bustle of the reception area and have some relaxed time. The combination of the stunning sun shines through the trees and the warm look of the pair; everything appears to be incredible and lovely. It's the perfect light for shooting intimate moments. While we can always use off-camera flash to fill in the gaps when it's too dark, no artificial light can completely replace or imitate the sun. Lighting can make all the difference between photos you like and photos you adore, and good lighting is a significant part of that!

Have a Private Dinner

Inquire with the venue about having your dinner somewhere besides the reception so you may enjoy the fact that you are newlywed, a husband and wife. Furthermore, sharing a meal allows you to bond with one another while doing something you typically do together daily. This quiet time before the party, you have created additional beautiful memories that the couple would remember for a long time.

Finally, while your wedding day will go by far faster than you expect, make sure to take some time to celebrate your newlywed status as much as possible while celebrating it with those people you love most.

Have the Last Dance

It's time for the final private dance. Slow down if the first step seems impossible, and take a moment just the two of you to reflect on the beautiful occasion and enjoy the moment away from the spotlight. Then, when all of your guests are waiting for you outside for your exit, play a song just for the two of you so you can dance privately.  If the first step seems impossible, again, you have the option of requesting the secret room or the secret garden where you may have that spotlight for the two of you.

Think About You and Your Partner

You should think and take care of yourself and your partner. It means stressing out over minor details, working out excessively, and not getting enough sleep. You have the whole day for your wedding day, and thinking about others or little mistakes that you noticed will ruin your mood and your wedding celebration.  You may wish that you had taken better care of yourself in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

You would have gotten more sleep, drank more water, and not pushed yourself so hard in the gym and with my plans. Instead, concentrate on having a good time at your wedding! Any fantastic party starts with great music, food, and drinks. Toss in your favorites, and you're good to enjoy the night.

Last Say!

Everyone knows there is no such thing as a perfect wedding, but you should be grateful even though it was only a one-day event, you married the love of your life. Isn't it fantastic? The most significant component of the relationship is the marriage after the ceremony. As a result, make an effort to focus on making your marriage the best it can be.

Now is the moment to move through this uncomfortable emotion. Regret is perfectly acceptable! All sentiments associated with regret are fine. Accepting your feelings will assist you in moving forward. You must overcome the process linking to your regrets. Allow yourself enough time to be sorry before telling yourself it's time to move forward.

Learn to laugh at yourself no matter what goes wrong. The leading causes of regret are unexpected events and things that do not go as planned. So they’re also essential components of comedy. Because you can't go back and change things that already happened, make a joke about it, and you'll feel a lot better afterward. To make sure you don't make the same mistakes and regrets again, learn from your mistakes and strive not to make them again.
