Couples Session with Emily and Austin at Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona

Emily and I met online a few years ago when we were both trying to expand our companies at the same time. We'd both just started, she's a realtor, and we decided to be a support system for each other. When Matt and I bought a house last year, she eventually became my realtor. Follow her on Instagram, she’s the best realtor.

These two just happened to be in Phoenix at the same time as I was for Grant and Alissa's engagement session. It was the ideal opportunity to get them in front of the camera because we never seem to find the time to do so when we're all together in Nashville. We had the ideal opportunity when out of town.

We met up at Camelback Mountain one afternoon. This place is not only emblematic of Phoenix, but it also offers a stunning view of the city skyline. It was also perfect because it revealed the terrain, which is so different from Nashville. We hiked halfway up the mountain because we didn't need to go all the way up for beautiful shots, and we discovered some beautiful places along the way. Of course, this is all taking place when we're messing around and having a nice time.

The desert, the colors, and the light are all so beautiful! We couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day, and I had a blast photographing Emily and Austin's love. They were picture-perfect in front of the camera, and their interactions are sincere and endearing. They have such a simple and lovely soul together!

At Camelback Mountain, Austin and Emily were a blast to photograph. When I photographed them, they had to be having a great time. It caught my attention in every way! We can't stop gushing about how much fun we had and how beautiful their pictures are.

Camelback Mountain

Is one of Arizona's most famous landmarks, with its famous humps that mimic the back of a kneeling camel. It is a prominent feature of the Phoenix skyline, visible from all over the Phoenix metropolitan area. As a result, it's no surprise that thousands of people flock to the mountain's summit trails each year. Hiking Camelback is consistently ranked among Phoenix's top ten attractions, and it is widely regarded as one of the best urban hikes in the country. Camelback Mountain, considering its convenient location in the heart of the country's fifth-largest city, should not be overlooked.

The Cholla Trail at Camelback Mountain, the trail is so famous because it is breathtaking,  at 2,704 feet, the summit, also known as the camel's biggest hump, offers spectacular 360-degree views of the whole Valley, including all the way to Superior. Although it is classified as an "urban" climb, it is also one of the most challenging, so come prepared.

Native animals such as the desert tortoise, Chuckwalla lizard, cottontail rabbits, and rattlesnakes can be found in Phoenix's desert preserves, including Camelback Mountain. Saguaro, cholla, and prickly pear cacti, as well as native trees like mesquite and palo verde, are among the plant species.

This is a great spot to watch the sunset over the capital!
