The Beautiful Session at the unplanned location.

We had planned to visit the Desert Botanical Garden, but due to COVID-19, masks were needed, and because we were taking pictures, they couldn't wear them. As a result, we relocated the session to Papago Park, which is directly across the street from the Desert Botanical Garden.

Alissa educated me about the city and the desert as we walked through the park. I learned about various cacti and the city, as well as where to eat and all of the best places to visit. Grant and Alissa soon became friends of mine as a result of this session, and it was wonderful to see them again when I returned for their wedding on April 3rd!

I always enjoy getting to know my couples, and it helps make the wedding day feel more like friends coming into your getting ready room rather than another vendor. We were overjoyed! I had a lot of fun photographing their sweet expressions and genuine sweet looks. I enjoy walking around the park with them and taking their pictures, particularly because of some magical light that day.

With these two precious souls, this Papago Park engagement session was nothing but beautiful. I enjoy spending time with sweet couples who are in love. These two were no exception, and they picked the ideal spot to capture their love! Take a look at it!

The Ancient Oasis of Papago Park

Grant and Alissa introduced me to The Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Arizona, in December. These two welcomed me into their group with open arms and quickly became friends. Papago Park became one of my favorite locations in Phoenix right away. Papago Park is a reasonably large park in Phoenix, Arizona. With a total area of 1496 acres and a variety of hiking trails that take you through gorgeous desert landscapes scattered with many unique species of cacti, including the popular saguaro, this park is a great place to visit.

The saguaro cactus is a symbol of Arizona that has become almost synonymous with the state. A Desert Botanical Garden, the Phoenix Zoo, a museum, and Hunt's Tomb are all located within the park. The crypt, which is a pyramid, contains the body of Arizona's first governor, George W.P. Hunt, as well as the bodies of his family.

Several small oasis lakes are stocked with a variety of fish. Canals dug by the Hohokam were used to build the oasis. The Hohokam used to keep track of the sun's location at Hole-in-the-Rock so they could track the seasons.

Make a day of it by visiting some of the park's most famous attractions. Visit the Desert Botanical Garden to see the Sonoran Desert's wide array of plants; the Phoenix Zoo to see all kinds of animals; the Arizona Heritage Center to discover more about the state's history; the Papago Golf Club to tee off, or the Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting to have some quality family time.

Have you ever had a similar experience? Do you find yourself falling in love with the place all of a sudden? I'd like to travel to another part of the world with you as my sweet couple. So please include me in your plans! Send me an Instagram message and we'll talk about planning your engagement or wedding!
