Top 5 Honeymoon Locations in the United States
I know when my husband and I got married, he didn’t have a passport, and didn’t have time to get one. Plus, we were trying to be money conscious considering we had both just graduated college and knew student loans were about to come soon. We also wanted to be able to spend more time on vacation if we were to go out of the country, and because of this we decided to put off that trip for another time. Because of all of these reasons, we decided to stay in the United States for our honeymoon. I’m sure some of you are in the same boat we were, so I decided to put together a list of my favorite honeymoon locations in the United States!
Hawaii
Okay, this is no surprise, right?! Hawaii is full of resorts, but also stunning views and beautiful landscapes. Depending on how private you want the trip to be will determine what island you should stay on. If you are looking to be surrounded by nature, Molokai Island is the perfect location! If you are wanting to be in the middle of everything, Oahu or Maui would be a better location for you!
San Diego, California
This is where Matt and I went on our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing! The two of us are pretty different when it comes to how we like to spend vacations. I love getting out and discovering the city, where Matt would rather take time and relax. San Diego was the perfect place for us to vacation for our honeymoon! We could go to the beach and hang out to relax, or we could go kayaking in the ocean and see all of the sea lions!
Sanibel Island, Florida
Are you looking for a beautiful Florida destination that isn’t overcrowded, this is the perfect location! Sanibel Island isn’t far from Fort Myers, but is tucked away on the Gulf Coast oh-so perfectly. It has a shabby-chic vibe that reflects the Carribean without the craziness of the Carribean. Oh, and there are 15 miles of beaches to enjoy!
Lake Tahoe, California
Are you looking for a beautiful but relaxing location in the mountains? This gorgeous location allows you to do anything from hiking to relaxing by the fire. Also, you can stay in anything from a fancy resort to a quaint cabin, so it is perfect for any couple!
Moab, Utah
Moab is perfect for the adventuring couple! Moab is located out in the desert with so many beautiful national parks nearby! Arches National Park is a stunning location with a wide variety of levels of hikes and also miles of roads that display gorgeous views with plenty of pull offs to stand in wonder. Canyonlands National Park is also nearby, along with many other smaller parks! Moab has such an adorable downtown with plenty of restaurants and so many tours you can set up.
Here are just a few of the beautiful places located right in the United States that would be perfect for honeymoons! If you already have your honeymoon planned, these would also be perfect for anniversary trips!
