Where To Do Your Engagement Session?

That may seem like an easy question, right? You probably think that you have to do your engagement session in the city you live in. I mean, that is what is most convenient and it is part of your everyday life. There are probably gorgeous locations in the city you live in, but what if you went somewhere else? Somewhere outside of your city. 

Is there a place that you have dreamed of having your photos taken? Maybe an elopement isn’t in your wedding plans, and that is perfectly fine! That doesn’t mean you can’t have stunning photos! Use your engagement session as an opportunity to go to those beautiful locations you have always dreamed of having your photos taken. There is no reason to be limited to your city!

If you have a trip planned during your engagement, you can always schedule your engagement session during that trip. Most of the time, your wedding photographer will be more than happy to come along for the trip if they can! Yes, this may take a bit more planning and work than an average engagement session, but it will be so worth it!

So, how do you choose where to have your engagement session? If you don’t have any fun trips coming up, think about some of your favorite places. Is there a location that the two of you went that you fell in love with? For me, San Diego would be that for my husband and I! Keep in mind too, you don’t have to fly across the country or world for it! Maybe just driving a few hours from where you live will provide a whole new scenery. If you are in Nashville, you know that driving just a few hours east will give you a whole different view.
