Will and Nicole’s Fall Engagement Session in Manchester, Tennessee
I met Will and Nicole a few months before their engagement session and we immediately hit it off! We talked for over an hour, and we knew right away that we were the perfect fit. So then, it came to scheduling their engagement session. Will and Nicole were back and forth between choosing a summer engagement session, or a fall engagement session. After going back and forth for a little bit, we decided that the hot, Tennessee summers were not ideal for an outdoor session. So, we decided that fall was the perfect time.
The leaves tend to turn golden a little later than most areas, especially what I am used to being from the midwest! Trying to guess when the leaves will be golden is not an easy task. A lot of it depends on the weather that year. Somehow, we managed to guess when the leaves will be golden perfectly!
Nicole did her research to find the perfect and unique location. We were trying to find a spot that would have diverse scenery and would also have waterfalls. Nicole found an absolutely beautiful location, Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park! We had a wide variety of scenes there, from waterfalls, rock formations, and open fields with golden trees in the background.
When the day came for their engagement session, we could not have asked for a more beautiful day. When we arrived at Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park, we started with their formal outfits which was perfect! We found a beautiful spot tucked back into the woods that framed Nicole and Will perfectly. Next, we wandered around the park, as none of us had been there before.
We found a beautiful open field, with golden colored trees lining the field. We were in awe of the beauty of this park that we had stumbled upon. After this, we continued walking along the trail we had found and headed towards a waterfall we had found on the map. It was a bit of a rough hike down to the waterfall, but it was so worth it! I try to warn my clients ahead of time, but we will definitely do some walking during our sessions, and maybe even a bit of hiking! So be prepared!
After this, we made a quick outfit change into their more casual outfits and went to explore the park more. We really had no clue where we were going to be honest, but I absolutely love that during sessions. It gives us time to just wander around, talk, and get to know each other better. I’ve said this a million times over, but I always want to be your friend because wedding planning can be so difficult and I want to be your support! We finished up our session at another waterfall we found after wandering around and following the sound of running water.
We had such a fun time on this beautiful day! Check out some of my favorite images from the day!
