I love learning how couples meet, and I have heard so many amazing stories. With technology, how people are meeting are changing. Robert and Katie are no exception to this! They met on Bumble and that’s where their story started. Since then, they have added two German Shepherds to their family, and you can tell how much they love these two pups. I mean, they even came for photos on their wedding day!

On their wedding day, I arrived to Katie’s parent’s house nestled into a cute suburb of Cleveland, Ohio to see everyone pretty calm. Katie was getting her makeup finished while her bridesmaids and family were hanging out around the house. There was no running around like crazy or frantic faces filling the rooms. It was nice to see this, everyone just excited for the wedding day!

After about an hour of finishing up, we loaded into the party bus and headed to downtown Cleveland for Robert and Katie’s first look. Their wedding was at the start of a celebration in Cleveland for Labor Day with an airshow happening right on the water, which was where the first look was. I got out of the bus to meet Robert and position him while the bridesmaids passed out bouquets. Within a minute, we were ready to go for this wedding day!

In the midst of chaos surrounding them, Robert and Katie had an absolutely beautiful first look. It was like the world just faded around them to create this perfect moment. After a few minutes of them taking in that this was their wedding day, we headed off towards the “Cleveland” sign, right on the water where their pups met us!

Stuka and Mika, their German Shepherds, were the sweetest and best behaved pups! When Katie told me that they would be joining us for photos, I was so excited! I think everyone knows how much I love dogs, so for them to be involved on a wedding day was perfect! Even in the chaos of all of the people, they were so well behaved! After a few minutes of photos, they were on their way home, and we were off to do bridal party portraits and couples portraits.

From there, we headed out of downtown Cleveland and to the church where we were just about ready to start the ceremony! We snuck Katie in to hang out in a room, away from everyone else so they could be seated and start the ceremony. Every wedding day has a few hiccups, and during this wedding, it started without anyone letting the bridal party know. The parents started walking down the aisle, and we were all a little shocked. Other than that, things went smoothly! They had an absolutely beautiful Catholic ceremony and a fun exit with family and friends!

After the ceremony, we headed down the road to Michael Angelo’s Winery for an absolutely stunning and elegant wedding. The winery was nestled into a corner lot of a quiet Ohio country road. We took advantage of the beautiful day and headed out to the vineyard for family formals and portraits. Then we came in for a wonderful dinner followed by formal dances. From their, the couple mingled and enjoyed the night! It was such a beautiful and elegant wedding with great couple and bridal party!
