But if the goal is to play off the whimsey, you can go bold color choices like peach, rose pink, or green. The good thing with white is that it could work with any color of your choice.

Don’t: Let Guests Get Cold

Come up with a plan where guests don’t freeze in the cold weather. First things first is to remind them to dress for the cold. Second is to consider the venue. If you’re eyeing an indoor ceremony, then make sure the room has a proper heating system.

But if you really want to feel the snow on your backs and host an outdoor ceremony, then don’t leave your guests outside for long or make them walk long distances from the ceremony to the reception area. Make sure that there is a warm area where they can stay before the ceremony. They can take their seats outside when it’s about to begin. Weather like this calls for hot food that warms the body from within. Soup would be a must in the menu. Cold desserts? Optional.

The dance floor also has to be warm enough for people to get their move on. Ask the venue if there’s a way to keep the floor less cold-to-the-touch. And make sure your band or DJ don’t get cold too.
